Howdy Aggie Parents & Families!

We are quickly approaching the recommended submission date for the 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Texas Application for State Aid (TASFA). Our recommended submission date is Dec. 15. The state priority deadline is Jan. 15.

FAFSA

The FAFSA is available to United States Citizens and can be found on the Federal Student Aid website. This is the best way to make sure your FAFSA gets submitted quickly and securely. You will need to log in with your FSA ID (or create a new ID if this is your first time). This can be used to log in to many different Department of Education sites, so make sure to remember this ID and password. When completing the FAFSA, use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool as this transfers your Federal Tax Return information into the FAFSA for you.

Texas A&M University's Federal School Code: 003632

TASFA

The State of Texas has a financial aid application for students who are not United States Citizens, but who are Texas residents. Texas residents who are not U.S. citizens may not receive Federal Aid, but can receive State and Institutional Aid. Scholarships & Financial Aid at Texas A&M University reviews you for these funds by looking at the information from your TASFA.

To learn more or submit the TASFA, visit the TASFA webpage on the Aggie One Stop website.

If your student is international, they should submit an International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA) to be considered for the International Texas Public Education Grant (ITPEG) or the Mexican Citizens with Financial Need Waiver. Learn more about financial aid available to international students by visiting the ISFAA webpage on the Aggie One Stop website.
