Howdy, first-year families! At your New Student Conference (NSC), all guests received a 2023-2024 Family Calendar & Resource Guide. New Student & Family Programs (NSFP) provides this guide as a quick glance of much-needed resources and information for Texas A&M families.

Here is an overview of what to find in the '23-'24 guide:

Campus Resource List

  • Find an extensive list of campus resources available to all students.
  • Useful for when your student calls home (“what do I do?”). Families are highly encouraged to redirect their students to our on-campus resources.

Aggie Family Checklist & Bucket List

  • Friendly reminders are provided for first-year students and families regarding Health & Safety, Finances, and Family To-Dos.

Parent & Family Programs Information

  • Learn about the Aggie Parent & Family Ambassadors (APFA) and how these student leaders provide fellowship and connection to the Aggie Family.
  • Understand more about the mission and values of Parents & Family Programs.

Campus Lingo & Campus Traditions

  • Learn more about the Texas A&M lingo and traditions that your student will be a part of! 

Family Expectations Worksheet &

  • Developed by the Parent & Family Advisory Council to have a facilitated conversation with your student regarding expectations, such as communication, living away from home, budgeting, etc.

Campus Safety

  • Learn more about University Health Services, Counseling Services, Code Maroon, and Green Dot.

Campus Map & Academic Calendar

  • Find important locations on campus and have your own calendar with need-to-know dates in Aggieland.
  • Space is provided to take any additional notes and to fill in information about your student’s class schedule.
