Disability Resources Testing Center

Disability Resources staff members interact and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to achieve an equitable learning environment for students with disabilities at Texas A&M University. With the guiding principles of equity, collaboration, and excellence, Disability Resources offers accommodations coordination, evaluation referral, disability-related information, assistive technology services, sign language interpreting and transcription services for academically related purposes. See below for more information regarding some featured services:

  • Requesting Accommodations: It is the student’s responsibility to contact the Department of Disability Resources to request academic adjustments in their educational program. To view the list of available accommodations and the accommodations request process, please visit Requesting Accommodations.
  • Testing Center: The Testing Center provides an equitable environment for Texas A&M students that require exam accommodations due to a disability need. Helpful staff and proctors ensure students’ accommodations are fully accessible, all while upholding the integrity of exams.
  • Access Coordinators: Once a student’s accommodation request has been approved, the student will be assigned an Access Coordinator to learn more about the student’s needs and assist them in the accommodation process.
  • Assistive Technology: These services provide equal access to information. Assistive Technology Services offers technology support services for students with disabilities such as audio books, adaptive software/hardware, alternative format materials, and equipment loan along with AT consultation, training, resources, and support.
  • Communication Access Services: Disability Resources offers sign language interpreters, transcription services and assistive listening devices for academic purposes to qualified students registered with the department. Please visit Communication Access Services to learn more.
