As prospective students and parents embark on the journey of selecting the right university, it is essential to explore all avenues for personal growth, academic success, and community involvement. One such avenue, often overlooked but profoundly impactful, is Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL). At Texas A&M University, FSL isn't just a collection of organizations; it is a vibrant and dynamic community that offers countless opportunities for students to thrive and grow.

Fraternity and Sorority Life is a transformative journey that prepares students for success in all aspects of life beyond their collegiate years. Within this experience students are able to place intentional effort towards the things they are passionate about, contribute to their own wealth of knowledge, engage in thoughtful conversations about social and cultural topics, and situate themselves and others in a global context. Coupling the ability to integrate what our students learn in the classroom with the experiences they have as student leaders, illuminates the transformative potential of the Aggie Greek experience.

One of the most valuable aspects of Greek life is its ability to connect students to extensive networks on regional, national, and international scales. As the largest learning community of over 6,200 students (11% of the student body), FSL exposes its members to a diverse and global network. These connections not only enhance academic and career prospects but also foster lifelong friendships and support systems. Members have opportunities to establish mentor relationships with former students, host engaging community events, attend leadership conferences, and hone their own leadership skills beyond chapter membership. These experiences contribute to more well-rounded students – garnering recognition at the local, regional, and national level.

With four councils representing 56 organizations, Fraternity and Sorority Life engross students in a diverse community of organizations. Each with its own unique culture, values, and mission to develop young people into leaders of the future. Whether you are passionate about giving back through service and philanthropy, cultural heritage, or professional development, there's a fraternal organization that aligns with your interests and aspirations. As such, finding your place in Fraternity and Sorority Life is about discovering where you belong and making a meaningful impact within your chosen community.

The fraternity and sorority experience is one that shapes students into confident and capable leaders. Aggie Greeks are empowered to take on challenges and make a positive impact wherever they are present. In 2022-2023 Aggie Greeks donated $1,257,577 in philanthropic giving and provided over 52,000 hours of community service. The support, camaraderie, and service-orientation found within Greek-lettered organizations fosters personal growth, resilience, an increased sense of belonging, and a commitment to being a leader for their generation.
