The Texas Tuition Promise Fund® (TTPF) is a state-sponsored 529 prepaid tuition plan that enables families to lock in current undergraduate tuition rates and schoolwide required fees at Texas public colleges and universities, including Texas A&M University. Through the TTPF, families can prepay for future tuition costs.
Activating TTPF Benefits at Texas A&M
To apply TTPF benefits toward your student’s tuition at Texas A&M, the payment must be authorized each semester. This authorization is required even if the student continues enrollment at the same institution. The purchaser can complete this process by logging into their TTPF account at texastuitionpromisefund.com and completing the online Benefit Payment Authorization Form.
Coverage Details and Limitations
TTPF covers the cost of undergraduate resident tuition and schoolwide required fees. However, it does not cover:
- Graduate tuition and fees
- Course-related educational enhancement, equipment access, lab, or field trip fees
- Optional fees such as housing, meal plans, and parking
- General deposits for new, transfer, or re-admitted students
- International student administrative fees, services, or insurance
- Orientation fees
Students are responsible for any charges not covered by TTPF.
Non-Resident Tuition Waiver
For semesters in which TTPF benefits are utilized, Texas A&M University applies a non-resident tuition waiver to the student’s account. This waiver adjusts the tuition rate to the resident rate, aligning with the TTPF coverage.
